We invite you to join us for a free tour and learn more about the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie and our past, present and future. We will share our story in a special 1 hour tour in a small group setting. We encourage you to bring a friend, colleague or loved one. We are excited about what is happening at the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie and know that you will be too. More information and dates of upcoming tours.
Beginning in September 2010, the construction project required that the gallery’s art exhibitions and art classes be temporarily interrupted. The staff would like to thank the public for their patience during this time of transition.
The Art Gallery of Grande Prairie offers free guided tours of our current exhibitions to all schools, families and community groups.
Please contact Sabine Schneider by emailing sabine@prairiegallery.com or calling (780) 357-7487 for more information and bookings. We require a minimum of 2 weeks advance to ensure staff availability.
Interactive art activities compliment the tours and vary according to exhibition theme. An interpretive guide is also available for self-guided tours of the exhibition.
Everyone is welcome to visit and explore the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie’s interactive space called the Green Space. Since September 2009, we have dedicated a space in the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie to the interactive exploration of and response to art. Visitors of all ages have the opportunity to enjoy responding to the gallery’s current exhibitions through free art activities that are designed to encourage reflection and inspiration.
Activities in the Green Space are free and open during gallery hours.
