The Prairie Art Gallery would like to thank all of the visitors who joined us during the Street Performers Festival. We would also like to thank our wonderful staff and volunteers because the Gallery’s events could not have happened without their efforts.
Artist Sarah Alford was on site during the festival to install her exhibition titled “Faults.” During the three days of the festival, Sarah applied gold foil to the cracks found on the street and sidewalk. The gold foil will remain on the road until it wears away due to the weather and vehicle traffic. More…
Calgary artist Devon Sandboe also joined the Prairie Art Gallery during the Street Performers Festival. He created elaborate chalk drawings on the pavement. Unfortunately, they were only seen by the visitors who came during that day due to the frequent rain over the weekend that washed away his images each night. More….
We also invited festival goers to visit our exhibition, “Collective Soul: PNCR 2007″, which was on view in a shipping truck. Guests were able to view the paintings and drawings hanging inside the truck and learn more about the Alberta Foundation for the Arts Travelling Exhibition Program. More…
