The Prairie Art Gallery thanks the Mayor and Council for their professionalism and diligence in preparing the new City of Grande Prairie budget. An appropriate level of additional funding was approved today to support the Prairie Art Gallery’s expanded operations beginning in 2009 with the move to the new cultural centre. Although the increase was less than the Gallery requested, it will enable the Gallery to ensure that the new spaces will be fully programmed from the beginning in the new complex. The Gallery is committed to ensuring that all the residents of Grande Prairie will see and feel the benefits of this important investment and to proving the value of the art experience to all residents.
