The Prairie Art Gallery is very pleased to report that City Council unanimously passed three motions relating to our historic Central Park School Building.
The three motions were 1)to rescind Council’s decision to demolish the building, 2)to endorse restoration of the historic building, and 3)to immediately begin a detailed design process towards the repair of the historic building and its connection to the Montrose Centre.
The Gallery supported all of these motions, and we are very grateful for all of your support leading up to these decisions. There were a number of Gallery supporters and Grande Prairie High School Alumni in attendance at the meeting last night, and all present applauded Council’s vote. Thank you all for your assistance in moving us towards the resolution of this difficult situation.
