Over 300 works from the Permanent Collection of the Prairie Art Gallery, all rescued from the collapsed Gallery building on March 26, 2007 are on view in open storage at the Gallery’s temporary location.
The portion of the Gallery’s collection that requires hanging storage for its safe preservation is now fully accessible to the community. The collection has been rarely seen in recent years, but became the object of international concern when it was trapped inside the frozen, collapsed Gallery for a week in March 2007. Artists in the collection include Euphemia McNaught, Evy McBryan, John Snow, Jim Stokes, Allen Sapp, Illingworth Kerr, and Peter von Tiesenhausen.
